Posta is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Rieti in the Italian region of Latium, located about 80 kilometres (50 mi) northeast of Rome and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of Rieti. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 819 and an area of 66.5 square kilometres (25.7 sq mi).[3]
The municipality of Posta contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bacugno, Favischio, Figino, Fontarello, Picciame, Sigillo, Steccato and Villa Camponeschi.
Posta borders the following municipalities: Borbona, Cittareale, Leonessa, Micigliano, Montereale.
